Westcliff Medical Laboratories has sent you a statement for laboratory services that were requested by your physician. This statement is separate from any statement you may have received from your physician.
Why hasn't my insurance company paid Westcliff Medical Laboratories' bill? We may not have been provided with your current or complete insurance information. We will be happy to bill your insurance for services rendered by us. Please contact our billing department and provide them with the insurance information that was effective on the day lab services were performed.
We may have previously submitted a claim to your insurance company. There may be a co-pay, deductible or other amount due not otherwise covered by your insurance company. Westcliff Medical Laboratories is not a provider for any HMO plans.

I have secondary insurance. How do I submit a claim to them? Secondary insurances need your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in order to process a claim. Submit the EOB from your primary insurance, along with your Westcliff statement, to your secondary insurance company's claims processing address. I received a bill from a lab other than Westcliff, but Westcliff received the lab samples.
Why am I being billed from this other lab? Westcliff Medical Laboratories performs over 99% of all Laboratory tests ordered by our physician clients. On occasion a test is sent to an outside reference laboratory, Westcliff will not bill for this test; the laboratory performing the test will bill for the test. Therefore, you will receive a billing statement from the reference lab that is separate from Westcliff bill. If you have any questions, please contact us at 949-724-3900.
