The determination of D-Dimer is becoming a widespread tool for diagnosing thrombosis and monitoring thrombolytic therapy. Deep vein thrombiosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) are all associated with elevated levels of D-Dimer.
